IFC und CVD starten Cheerleading Development Program
Die International Federation of Cheerleading (IFC) und die Cheerleading Vereinigung Deutschlands (CVD) haben den Start des CHEERLEADING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (CDP) vereinbart.
Ziel dieses Programmes ist es, die europäischen Mitgliedsverbände der IFC beim Aufbau ihrer Cheerleading-Aktivitäten zu unterstützen. Geplant sind Camps für Cheerleading auf allen Leistungsstufen, Clinics für Coaches und auch Seminar für Judges. Die Ausbildungsmodule werden durch die Technischen Committees der IFC gestellt, die Instruktorin durch die CVD. Die jeweiligen Nationalverbände organisieren die Tagungslogistik vor Ort. Zielgruppe des CHEERLEADING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM sind die IFC Mitgliedsnationen, die erst in kürzer Zeit zur IFC dazugestoßen sind und noch am Anfang ihrer Entwicklung stehen. Die CVD als größter europäischer Nationalverband der IFC in Europa kommt damit ihrer Verantwortung nach, einen Beitrag zur Entwicklung von Cheerleading in Europa zu leisten. Geplant sind konkret bereits Camps in Frankreich und den Niederlanden. Weitere Aktivitäten in Spanien, Belgien, Luxemburg und der Schweiz sind projektiert.
"Wir versprechen uns durch dieses Programm eine Stärkung von Cheerleading als Sport in Europa.", kommentiert IFC Präsident Setsuo Nakamura die Initiative.

IFC and CVD launch Cheerleading Development Program
The International Federation of Cheerleading (IFC) and the Cheerleader Vereinigung Deutschland (CVD) have agreed to initiate the Cheerleading Development Program (CDP). IFC and CVD share the goal of supporting all European member federations in their efforts to establish Cheerleading as a recognized sports within their respective nations and plan a variety of activities according to the new CDP. These include camps for cheerleaders of all performance and age levels, clinics for cheerleading coaches or workshops for cheerleading judges. The IFC's Technical Committees will provide the design and agenda for all of these camps, clinics and workshops, the CVD will send out special trained instructors throughout Europe to hold these events. The local federations will only need to supply the local logistics for any scheduled event.
The new program especially is targeted at IFC member federations, which recently joined IFC and have just started to develop cheerleading within their country. The CVD, the largest European member federation of IFC, has recognized its responsibility to be a major factor not only for further development of cheerleading in its home country, but for the whole of Europe. The first events have already be scheduled in France and the Netherlands, preparations for future events in Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland are underway.
This program will strengthen the sports of cheerleading on Europe, said IFC president Setsuo Nakamura. The CDP will give us a chance to prove solidarity with cheerleaders in all European nations, added Anne Urschinger, chairman of the CVD. We are eager to share our knowledge with all cheerleaders on the continent.
