Deutschlands Junioren im Silverdome von Detroit

NFL Global Junior Championships X

Deutschlands Football Nationalmannschaft der Junioren wird im Rahmen der Woche zum Super Bowl XL in Detroit, USA den American Football Verband Deutschland e.V. vertreten.

Die Gegner Deutschlands (zweifacher Junioren-Europameister) bei der NFL Global Junior Championship X sind die Nationalmannschaft Mexicos und Auswahlmannschaften aus Japan, Kanada und den USA.

Als erste Veranstaltung im Rahmen der Woche des Super Bowl XL finden die Spiele im berühmten Pontiac Silverdome in der Zeit vom 25. Januar bis 29. Januar 2006 statt. Zum 10 Geburtstag der NFL Global Junior Championship wird der Silverdome Plattform und Bühne für 180 der Top Jugend Footballspieler (19 Jahre und jünger) aus aller Welt. Während der Super Bowl Woche werden die Nationalmannschaften von mehreren Schulen in Detroit, Michigan betreut. Partner der Deutschen Nationalmannschaft ist die Notre Dame Prep in Pontiac, Michigan.

Wednesday, January 25- First Round Jamboree

12:00 pm Germany vs Mexico
12:50 pm Japan vs Canada
1:40 pm Germany vs USA
2:30 pm Mexico vs Japan
3:20 pm Canada vs USA
4:10 pm Japan vs Germany
5:00 pm Mexico vs Canada
5:50 pm USA vs Japan
6:40 pm Canada vs Germany
7:30 pm USA vs Mexico

1. First Round games to consist of two (2), 7- minute halves, with 2 timeouts per team.
2. No Overtime
3. Standings Tie Breakers-
Head-to-Head results
Total points given up in all games
Total touchdowns given up in all games
Total point differential in all games, with maximum of 14 per game
4. Each game will begin ten (10) minutes following the end of the previous game, with nearby warmup areas provided. Start times are tentative
5. Coin tosses to determine first possession will be done at the Welcome Banquet, Jan. 31

Sunday, January 29- Medal Round

Places based upon First Round results
8:00 am 5th place vs 3rd place
9:30 pm 5th place vs 4th place
11:00 am 3rd place vs 4th place
*These games will consist of two (2), 12 minute halves, with 3 timeouts per team total.
Overtime- NCAA rules except after scoring a TD, a 2 pt. Conversion must be attempted.

1:00 pm Championship Game- 1st place vs 2nd place
*Regulation game consisting of four (4), 12 minute quarters
